The new-look Rayner booth -- designed specifically with RayOne^® demos in mind -- was inundated with traffic. Surgeons clamored to experience the highly anticipated, fully preloaded IOL injection system at the recent XXXIV Congress of European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons in Copenhagen. 

At times the booth was so busy that Rayner CEO, Tim Clover, assisted with demos as surgeon demand outstripped the supply of Rayner staff.

Rayner are proud to announce the launch of RayOne^®: their fully preloaded IOL injection system to be unveiled at the upcoming ESCRS in Copenhagen, following the recent receipt of CE mark approval.

This flagship launch is the second in the pipeline of 11 new products which Rayner plan to launch over the next 3 years, a testament to Rayner’s renewed commitment to transform into one of the leading manufacturers of IOLs, all with the ambition of delivering better patient outcomes.

The entire Rayner IOL & injector portfolio, available in Spain for the last 20 years via our independent distributor Rayner Iberica SA., is now available through our wholly owned subsidiary, Rayner Surgical S.L.

Dr Steve Arshinoff, Mr Sathish Srinivasan and Mr Manyank Nanavaty complete the panel of speakers for the Rayner-sponsored satellite symposium ‘Outcome Excellence in Cataract Surgery’ at the XXXIV ESCRS in Copenhagen, 10-14 September.

Hosted by Professor Oliver Findl, from the Hanusch Hospital in Vienna, the XVI Rayner Forum centred around a theme of “Innovations and Controversies in Ophthalmology”.

The CPD point-accredited event boasted a full scientific program not only about IOLs, but also the latest innovations and controversies in retina, glaucoma and cornea areas of specialty which made for lively debate and knowledge-sharing around both conventional challenges and novel techniques & products.

State-of-the-art new facility
Today we open The Ridley Innovation Centre, our new £20million R&D, training and production facility in Worthing, West Sussex. This state of the art, dedicated intraocular lens (IOL) production facility has the capability of manufacturing 3 million intraocular lenses each year. In addition, our new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) quality system enables us to trace every lens from source materials to a patient’s eye. Rayner is the only IOL manufacturer in the UK and our investment represents commitment to delivering competitive high quality technology from a well-trained UK manufacturing team.
