Sulcoflex; An Excellent Solution In Correcting Residual Refractive Error

Posted on 27/08/2014

The recent Jan Venter (MD, Clinic Director of the Optical Express International Medical Advisory Board) article provides further evidence of the predictability of the Sulcoflex® Aspheric in correcting refractive surprises.

Residual refractive error has a major impact on patient satisfaction, and lens exchange or excimer laser may not be a viable option to correct ametropia in these dissatisfied patients. Dr Venter’s paper provides evidence of the effectiveness of Sulcoflex Aspheric in correcting these refractive surprises in a large cohort of patients (80 eyes in 64 patients). The Journal of Refractive Surgery paper goes on to reinforce the safety profile of the lens, noting that “no cases of lens tilt and rotation, dislocation, or decentration were observed in the study”.
