Rayner Launches T-flex Aspheric Toric and Sulcoflex Toric System Packs in Korea

Rayner Intraocular Lenses Limited, the pioneering manufacturers of intraocular lenses, proudly announced today that the registration of both the Sulcoflex Toric IOL and T-flex Aspheric Toric IOL system packs has been approved by the Korean Food and Drugs Administration (KFDA) and are now available for sale in the Republic of Korea.

Approval details

The KFDA granted regulatory approval and sale of the Sulcoflex Toric IOL (653T) in the following power range:
Spheres: -3.0 to +6.0 D in 0.5 D steps
Cylinders: +1.0 to +6.0 D in 0.5 D steps

The KFDA granted regulatory approval and sale of the T-flex Aspheric Toric IOL (623T and 573T) in the following power range:
Spheres: +6.0 to +35.0 D in 0.5 D steps
Cylinders: +1.0 to +11.0 D in 0.5 D steps

Sulcoflex Toric IOLs are indicated for the correction of any residual pseudophakic corneal astigmatism. The implantation of a Sulcoflex Toric IOL offers a precise and reliable alternative to corneal surgery and is available in a range of sphere/cylinder combinations. The unique undulating haptic design improves rotational stability leading to optimal toric corrections.

Rayner’s T-flex Aspheric Toric IOL is indicated for the treatment of cataract patients with pre-existing corneal astigmatism, and has been successfully implanted for over 10 years in many other key global markets.
