Rayner set to launch 600C monofocal aspheric IOL at ASCRS

Rayner has announced the launch of the 600C Aspheric IOL. The 600C Aspheric IOL will be unveiled at the upcoming 2018 ASCRS conference in Washington, DC, 13-17 April, and product availability will begin following the conference.

Built on the clinically-proven Rayner Primary IOL Platform, the 600C Aspheric is a hydrophilic acrylic aspheric monofocal IOL with Rayner’s Amon-Apple 360° Enhanced Square Edge. Soon to be available in the USA, Rayner’s global 6.0 mm lens design offers surgeons a sub-2.2 mm incision IOL for minimal wound damage and surgically-induced astigmatism (SIA), whilst retaining the optical performance of its predecessor, the Rayner C-flex.

The Rayner 600C Aspheric lens is also aberration neutral, allowing patients to benefit from the natural residual positive aberration of the cornea. 600C Aspheric is available across the full power range (+8.0 D to +34.0 D).

Rayner, together with Iskowitz – Rayner’s exclusive distributor in Argentina -- announced today that the RayOne fully preloaded IOL injection system has received approval from the Argentine regulator, ‘Administración Nacional de Medicamentos, Alimentos y Tecnología Médica’ (ANMAT), and is now available for commercial use.

With a large part of 2016 and 2017 focused on European expansion, Rayner announced today its investment into the US market with the establishment of a dedicated subsidiary, ‘Rayner Surgical Inc.’
Based out of New York, Rayner Surgical Inc. will provide US specific marketing, regulatory, commercial and research functions to Rayner.
Rayner’s latest lens platform – the 600C – has just received FDA approval and will be launched in the USA during 2018 in both manual and preloaded formats.

Rayner announced today the latest update in the RayOne story: registration of the RayOne Aspheric and Spheric monofocal fully preloaded IOL injection systems has been listed in the Federal Register by ANVISA, the Brazilian National Sanitary Surveillance Agency.

March 02, 2017 – Worthing, United Kingdom. Rayner announced today that a selection of models in their Sulcoflex range of pseudophakic supplementary IOLs have received Chinese Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) approval and are to be launched in market in 2017.

Rayner is the first manufacturer to make a supplementary IOL available to surgeons in China.
